While vUi lng Tarboro, on July 8ih, f waa reqnerted to vialt Miss Mary E Bta'on; seven miles from town, mho for sevn weeks . had been suffering excruciating agony from some Hood po'bon, sspposed to be poison oak. On last Tuesday, at her request, I went to see her, and expected td see great suffering, but was not prepared for the scene that met roe. I found the patient broken out all ovi r with aa erup. lion which had occaf ioned such Intense Itching that doling the paroxysms she wss perfectly uncontrollable, and bad scratched and torn herself to pieces until her agony was indescribable. During these par oxysms she would hare to be held, and her screams could be heard a long distance. She would pray for death to come to her relief; her whole body was purple and raw, exuded a y How water which satu rated ihe bed through several th ck ouilts that day she bad possessed herself of a thick gatU-percha cuanc comb, and before she coo Id be prevented, had raked herself witb it with such force aa tobrerd out some of the teeth, thus adding to her agony. one waa attended by some good physicians as Tarboro and her neighborhood could afford, but their treatment afforded only occasional relief by outward applications,. knd no permanent benefit, as tbe par- ox yams continued to return with increas ing violence. Upon viewing tbe condition of the patient I ca'led the family together and told them to boar witness that I from, ibkd motuiho. I could not tell whether my Remedy would relieve or not, as I had never even imagined such suffering, but it could do no harm and might do good. I then gave her a large dose of the Bitters and aa soon as the paroxysm wrsover, I sponged her whole body with the Wash. wnue doing so ahs would call out, "Oh, that does fol so good" I then eave her another dose of the Bitters, and she waa soon in a aweet bleep. I continued this treatment, and whenever the itching would recur I would sponge th body instantly with the Wash, which in every instance allayed in the irritation or itching and wardei off those violent paroxryina. She did not have an attack durinir the da v. and by 4 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon ine disease waa under perfect control. The itching would recur, but every time waa allayed by the application of tbe Wash. I lelt her Wednesday easy and comfortable. wltn directions for the treatment to be con tinued during the night and as long as was necessary. I came ajrain to see her to-d ly, Saturday, the 12th, and found her up and dressed and in the regular prose cution of her household duties. She is en tirely relieve ', althcugh she will.of course, have to take the Bitters some tlrao to com pletely eradicate the poison from her blood. During Wednesday she frequently call for the Bitters, as she craved its sooth ing and quitting effects, and during the d ay l administered a whole bottle, with the above results, thua proving, what I have always claimed, that my Remody In an infallible antidote for all blood ntity. I am respectfully MRS. JOE 1 t .(SON.
