A writer in the North Ameri can Review says that the South now expends about (40,000,000 annually in school (nods, of wbich earn the neer oes contribute bat one-th'rtietb, though they have the opportunity to reap nearly balf the benefit. In the South all trades are open to them, and they receive every encouragement 10 become proficient in the industrial arts. A large number of negroes have eagerly taken advantage oi these opportunities and have made unprecedented progress in betters ing their condition in every way. Toey have amassed in one State property the assessed value of which is nearly $30,000,000 and it is estimated that ihuy own, all told, about $300,000,000 wurih if personal and real estate. Tuty have their own doctors, lawyers and preachers; they have bum given the btsl schools, co, leges and universities, and they nave their own military companies. Many of them realize that then interests are insuperable from tue intesests of the South. They havu found by experience that the peo ple who give thorn employment, who annually pay millions of dol lars that their children may be ed ucated, who make it, possible for them to acquire wealth, who labor side by side with them in the field and in the factory, are their best friends. Waste matters which the kidneys, skin and other organs were too torpid (in the cold days) to take care of, and cannot take care of now without help, there is such an accumulation of them. They litter the whole system. Pimples, boils and other eruptions, loss of appetite, that tired feeling, bilious turns, fits of indigestion, dull headaches and many other troubles common in Spring are due to them. Hood's Sarsaparilla removes all hu mors, overcomes all their effects, strengthens and tones the whole system.
