Miss Ida Jones has returned from Baltimore to resume her position as bea 1 milliner with J. W. Bizzell & Oo. Masters Jno. 0. Jr., and Georga Dewey Collier have returned from a visit to their grandmother, Mrr. I. W. Fuller, at Smitbfield. Colonel Jos. E. Robinson, went down to Newbern this af ternoon to attend the meeting of the A. & N. U. ttock holders to morrow. Mr. Erastua Royall, of New bern, and Mr. and Mrs. Gibe Royall, ot Winston, were here to day to visit their brother Mr. Jno. O. Royall. Mr. Louis Grant left to-day for Anlover, Ma-e., to be present at the marriage of his brother Rev. J. H. Grant to Miss Mar garet Ha' I, next Tuesday. Mr. A. J, Winslow, the super intendent of the furniture fac tory, has recovered from his re cent protracted illness and was able to be on the street this morn ing. Mr. W. M. Creasy and Miss Gertrude Bigley were married in Kinston this morning and were the guests of the Hotel Kennon at dinner and left this afternoon for Mt. Airy. Mr. Creasy holds a position in the office of Capt. Jno. F. Divine at Wilmington. Q lite a number of tbe etack holdirs of the A. & N. 0. R. R. left tbis afemoon for Newbern to attend a meeting to be held in Newborn to-morrow. Toe special train for stockholders and their families will leave to-morrow morniDg. Mr. W. F. Brogden will run an excursion to Syen Spring to morrow morning on tbe steamer Gollsboro. The boat will leave her dock at Waynesboro at 7;30 a. m., and returning will leave the Springs at 5 o'clock, arriv ing home at 7 o'clock. Fire for the round trip is only 50 cents. Mr. Willis Hood, of this city, was married last night in Mt. Olive to Mi6s Lila Wilkinson, daughter of Air. and Mrs. W. E. Wilkinson. Mayor Hood, a cousin of the groom, went down tu wit ness the ceremony and returned to the city with the happy couple on the 9:37 train. Mr. R. J. Armstrong and Miss JJelle Corbett were married this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at tbe borne of Mr. A. A. Miller oi Wil. Ham street, where tbe bride bad made hef iionm for several years. The' happy couple boarded the iputhhoend train for Wilming tCD, where tbej will mike their home and where tbe groom holds a position with the street railway company. The excursion from Greenleaf to Seven Springs, Friday, Sept 27th, will leave Greenleal, where the wagon train will form, prompt ly at 6:15 o'clock a m.,'and from thence will enter Goldsboro at North John street and will go down John street to St Panl M. E. church; thence to East Centre street and on to Old Waynesboro, from which place the steamer Goldsboro will leave for Seven Springs at 7:15 a. m. The trans portation to and from Greenleaf and along the route of the wagon train is free. Fare for the round trip on the boat, 50 cents. Messrs. IL D.
