T.he Gentry Brothers' shows, which thl year are entering upon their twenty-fifth season, have added many special attractions to their shows. Among them are twoacts brought to tlilH country from Paris, where they were the talk of the show world for three seasons. The Noetzel family, of Vienna, is one of these features, and the Marcell I ml Lennett acrobatic troupe is the ( ither. These two acts were among t he features in the European cities, a nd in fact they still would be on the otJier aide of the ocean but for the in iervention of the American consul. Many times they were offered en gagements with tented shows in this country, but having heard that the lif was the hardest imaginable, they stendfastly refused to consider com ing to America. This was what they told the European agent of the Gen try shows. The Gentry Brothers then made use of their reputation. They com municated with the consul abroad and asked that he Intervene and secure the Euroiieans if possible. He did so. and as a result of his negotiations the acrobats and wire walkers came to America for this season. They will be seen in this city when the Gentry Brothers' shows visit here. The Gentry shows will give two performances in this city, Tuesday. May 4, afternoon and night. On the morning of show day their parade of Mother Goose chariots and highly ed ucated animals will pass through the principal thoroughfares. The Gentry shows cater especially to ladies and children.
