It Is still more than fifteen hours from sun to sun. The ladles of the Second Baptist Sunday School will give an ice cream supper and "pie party" tomorrow night In the house opposite Elm Street Chapel, for the benefit of the picnic fund. The public Is Invited to come out and help the worthy cause. All citizens are cordially Invited to attend the annual meeting at the Goldsboro Hospital this afternoon at six o'clock. Rev. Peter Mclntyre, of Fateon, will deliver the memorial to the late lamented Rev. F. W. Fairies, founder of the hospital, and president of the board ot trustees, whose death occurred since the last annual meet ing of the board. Mrs. Elwood Early, nee Miss Nao mi Prince, of Black Mountain, arrived In the city this morning to attend the funeral this afternoon of her late sister-in-law. Mrs. D. M. Prince, whose remains, accompanied by her grief stricken husband and many sorrowing relatives, arrived from Scotland Neck on. the three o'clock train, and were borne to their last resting place beautiful Willow Dale Cemetery where a large concourse of relatives - and friends here gathered to pay their last sad tribute ot respect. The rector f h ITnlannnal fhllPrh nf Scotland Neck, of which deceased was a mem ber, accompanied the remains to this city and performed the burial service, assisted by Rev. J. Gilmer Buskie, rec tor of St Stephen's Church, of this city. The floral tributes were very beautiful, and In their great sorrow the family have a wealth of sympathy from our people. Exum. of this . county, occurred last night at" eight o'clock at the home of ber brother, on John street, after a lin gering illness of many weeks.
