Mrs. Walter Borden's Beautiful Hymn Song by Miss Brinson Last Mght Thosv? who worshipped at St Paul M. E. Church last night were favored with the privilege of hearing sung for the first time the beautiful hymn, "Rest, Sweet Rest," composed by Mrs. Walter E. Borden, and set to music by one of the most noted composers of this country. The music of the hymn Is in high G and the sweep of the tune and the sentiment of the song harmonize like an Inspiration, and as sung by Miss Pearl Brinson last night, lift the soul of the hearer up, up into the realm of the Infinite, and leave It spiritually dwelling upon the Beatific Vision with that sense of rest of which the beau tiful words of the hymn Itself speak. Miss Brlnson's superb voice, with its wonderful reach, . was easily capable of giving full expression to the high , notes as well as to the rythmical ca dences of the beautiful music to which the words of this hymn are set, and we venture the prediction that "Rest, Sweet Rest," will speedily and perma nently take its place with those hymns that will not die nor ever grow old 3E 3C 71 i! f KORRECT CLOTHING & TAILORING CO TAILORS AND FURNISHERS To Men Only 3C Tillage at Auction.
