Airy from which are taken the blocks used in paving South Elm. Street, came down this morning on a short visit. It is believed that there is sufficient material delivered here to complete the paving from the rail road to court house square, ; Col. Thos. B. A very high degree ot pertection seems to have been attained in the manufact ure Of glass eyes, according to Sena tor, Vance, who has but recently had one inserted. This is what we bear. "A paper like the Guide ought to flour ish in Mt. Airy. ---Winston, according to the Twin City Daily, has had a squad of tramps, heavily loaded with benzine, but the police paying special attention to them they moved on. From the same paper it Is learned that passen ger txbtlic has been opened on the Wikesboro extension of the R. & D. R. R. at far as Rural Hall, which is the point of intersection with the (J. F. & Y. V. Railway. The west bound train on the Wilkesboro exten sion will reach Rural Hall each p.m in time to connect with the train to Mount Airy, and will he over until next morning to coi.nect with the train coming down from Mount Airy.
