N. Shoolbred, S. C. Satter twait, E. L. Withers, Donald Dun ham Mr. Darby, Lucius Bramlett, Mr, and Mrs. V. P. Farmer and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fish. Tuesday others mu tored over to Bryson City. TUGMAN-FERGUSON. ..Miss Hazel Ferguson was married Monday at Spartanburg, S. C, to Mr. ames B. Tugman, Rev. G. S. Cobb, officiating. Mrs. Tugman is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Ferguson, and was a member of the senior class in the city schools. Mr. Tugman came here in July from Peoria, III, where he had been i.i school. While here he was connected with Coble's Jewelry Store. Mr. and Mrs. Tugman will reside in Ashcville. THE WOMAN'S CLUB. The 1925-1926 club year for the Woman's Club was inauguarted last Thursday with a meeting at the home of Mrs. Clarence Miller, Jr., pre sided over by the newly elected of ficers. An enthusinstic attendance discuss ed the work for the year and made plans for continued efforts in clib and community welfare work. A spe cial effort will be made by the com mittee on education to make this work of equal interest with the other de partments of the club. Two of the especially interesting event of the year's program ha& been the Dahlia Show, Aug. 19 at the Gordon Hotel, and a play sponsored by the club which was staged in the high school auditorium. The success of the Dahlia Show, only added in the past two years, has been such as to create universal interest and it is believed that much practical benefit can be derived from them. The club had as guests the Way nesville High and Elementary school teachers, and Mrs. N. N. Pattershall of Onieda, Fla. and Mrs. C. A. Thorn ton of Chapel Hill. The next meeting will be held at the High School September 24, with Mrs. John Queen, Mrs. Homer Plott and. Mrs. J. C Rose as hostesses. The program will be in charge of lbs.
