The friends of Mr. Theme Wal drop, of Rutherfordton, will be deeply grieved to learn of the sad bereavement of his houi', in the congress. Mr. Morrow withdrew and moved th'e convention to make tii e vote unanimous for Gallert, and this was done. Mr, Mills being a member of the senatorial executive committee also attended a meetiug of thai committee, for the purpose of deciding upon a date and place tor holding the senatorial conven - tion.
