SOME ADYICE, FOR WIVES.
Would
Not Have Hubby Made Nurse And
Assistant Chambermaid.
Are you one of those women
Wno continually request your
husband to run get. you this,
that, or the other as long as he
is about the house? Do you
habitually call him back from
the corner to mail a letter, or
give him a sample of silk to
match? Does he no sooner sit
. . down than you ask him to run
upstairs and get baby's pins, or
take the small child walking, or
run -around the corner and get
the meat for supper?
There are misguided wives
who make it a. constant practice
to keep the man of the house
fetching and carrying for them
selves and baby from: the time
he enters the door until bed-time
. and all day Sunday. It's "Tom,
get me this," and "Tom, please
bring me that," until in the eyes
of a third party Tom's position in
the home appears to be that of a
well-trained servant.
" , .The Poor Patient Worse Half. .
; ' It is hardly fair to let him
drop to thatis it? Do you really
require that he should go -into
bondage of this sort to you and
" -baby?. He does i t patiently,
maybe, but it wears on him, and
hurts, his self-respect. Why
don!t you do your own Jouing, and
mail your own letters, and match
. your own - samples? Why don't
y.ou. have, the baby's ; things
handy; ,soiie won't have to wait
, on. you hand . and foot - when
, you're busy, with the little one ?
; What would you think if your
husband brought home a lot of
his office, work for you to do at
night? Suppose he expected you
to spend your spare hours clerk
ing for him and helping him
. with his bills and accounts?
Ridiculous wouldn't ... it be?, Yet,
for some reason, you expect him
to act as second housemaid and
assistant child's nurse the whole
time he is away from his office.
In Time Of Need, Yes.
! Nine times out of ten it's
siniplv. a habit that gets you into
' : this practice. Of course there
; are exceptional Cases of illness
which, make it necessary for a
faithful husband to step into the
shoes of a domestic help and
assist with. the meals and the
.. children. But unless there is
this necessity it . ought not . to be
expected. , . -'.The
man's field of labor, little

INFERIOR
S Like goods of an inferior quality, is a detriment to every.
; business man. A piece, of. printiner that has a cheap, rag
ged,. slop shop look is never read but is tossed into the waste
basket as soon as received. ; The Bill Head, Letter Head,
Envelope, Statement, etc, that is not neatly printed causes
people to think that the merchant who uses interior printing
probably deals in inferior merchandise, and so they purchase
elsewhere. , Did you ever think of that. Mr.N Business Man?
