Columbus, White 0?k And Cocper 'Gap
' CartiedBySafe Majorities Greens Creek
Falls Behind, '
Tuesday November 14th was
an ideal day to hold an election,
and this fact, no doubt, was part
ly responsible for the ideal -vote
in favor of the railroad bonds.
Columbus, White Oak and Cooper
Gap voted the subscription by
safe majorities. - ... ;
Columbus citizens were out
early and nearly had a majority
by noon, . This township had an
aggresi ve determined set 6 f
workers who left no stone un
turned which might aid in carry
ing the election for the bonds,
They were bound to carry the
election honestly in spite of all
opposition. The results prove
they made crood their bled&re.
r- - I
Only 5 ballots were cast against I
tne Donas m the township and
39 " remained at home. This
gave a majority of 49.
