His text was, I am the Shepard of the sheep. I know my sheep and am known of mine. He said the people were divided into two classes sheep and goats. He told how sheep are affected with three diseases, First foot evil, which caused them to stumble and fall and being unable to walk fell out of the flock. He said church members got the foot evil around Christmas time and went to dances, etc. Second the mouth disease, which affected the sheep and prevented their graz ing. : At elections; he said, the church members got the mouth disease and passed around the bottle and the jug. Third the big head, in which the sheeps' sense were affected and they could be neither led nor driven. He de clared church members should be humble but when affected by the big head, formality, fashion and pride caused the church to lose control of them and they perished in a spiritual sense. The simile was well sustained andwas listented to with much interest by his hearers. ; that we have been, advertising for their -wives, and that- they can't keep them at, home, because of the fact that they want to go and see what the Tryon Supply Co., has to offer in the way of bar- -gains In its various lines.
