It members were pre sent. The roll call and minutes of the previous meeting were by the secretary, Miss Lula Tyndall. Mrs. T. A. Turner, chairman, was mod erator for the Bible study on the Beatitudes. A gift exchange was made. The hostess served pecan pie with soft drinks. CIRCLE g Mrs. Durwood Anderson was hos tess to circle 2 Tuesday night, with ten members present. The chair man. Mrs. Johnny Sheppard. presi ded. The Beatitudes were the topic for discussion, with Mrs. Anderson acting as moderator. The group en joyed a gift exchange. Devil's food cake with Coca Colas were served. Circle 2 Mrs. Remus Teachey entertained the afternoon circle at 4 00 P. M. Thursday, with 5 attending. Mrs. T. A. Turner, chairman, presided, Mrs. Teachey led the Bible study. Light refreshments were served. Methodist Circle Met Mrs. J. M. Jones was hostess to the Afternoon circle of the Metho dist Woman's Society on Tuesday of this week. The program, "Chris mas is Sharing", was presented by Mrs. Jones. The chairman, Mrs. J. F. May presided. Refreshments were served. Christian Chapel Party The Christian Chapel Home Dem onstration Club was hostess to the i husbands at a delightful Christmas Party and Turkey supper in the new Sunday school rooms at the Church Monday night of this week. Other ! invited guests were Miss Marie ' Penuel, home agent and her par ents, of Kinston, and the Church pastor, Rev. Kimberly Ard and Mrs. Ard. Educational Tour The following students from gra des s through ? at the Pink Hill school were token on an educational tour of Williamsburg, Va. Saturday morning and returned Sunday-Cob by Heath, Dennis Heath. Timmy Rhodes, Mike Taylor, Byron Sim mons, Nancy 8urnor, Marsha Tur ner, Carolyn Hood, Terry Ward, Terry Simpson and Trudy Miles. The group went by Trailway bus under the supervision of Mrs. H. H. Bullock of Kinston A total of 4S students from the Lenoir County schools made the trip with six adult chaperones including Mrs. Bruce Perkins and Mrs. James J. Miles of Pink Hill. The students observed the making of a horse shoe at a shop in Wil liamsburg, engraved with the Pink Hill School emblem, which they were allowed to bring back with them. Mrs. Blair Speaks At DKG Society The Alpha Eta Chapter of the Del ta Kappa Gamma Society met in the dining room of the Rufus King | Hotel in Clinton on December 7th! The main speaker for the evening | was Mrs. Margaret B. Blair of Wallace who gave a most informa tive and inspirational address on "Women in the Arts." The regular business meeting was presided over by the president, Mrs. Carrie P. Owen of Roseboro. Proceeding the meeting the group enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner.
