Mr. Simmons, a native of
Beulaville, served 22 years in
the United States Army, two of
which were overseas in the
European theater during Wor
ld War n. During his long
Army career he served in
many places and engaged in
varied activities. He retired
from the Army in October of
1M0 and entered Coyne Refri
geration and Appliance School
in Chicago. After completing
this training he returned to his
home town and opened this
growing business in September
of 1M1.
In 1945, Mr. Simmons mar
ried the former Ruth Rayfield
of Seminole, Oklahoma, and
they have two fine sons, Jerry,
17 and John W., 16. These you
ng men are expert repairmen
themselves and help their fa
ther in the business. Already,
Mr. Simmons is beginning to
worry about how he will man
age when they leave for school
in a few yean.
Mr. and Mrs. Simmons are
active members of the newly
formed Methodist Church in
BeulaviUe. He is superintend
ent of the Sunday School, a
member of the finance com
mittee to raise funds for the
church the membership is now
constructing and which they
hope to move into the last of
this month. He has served as a
member of the board of trus
tees from the inception of the
church. Mrs. Simmons is one
of the teachers in the Sunday
School and a MYF counselor.

specialize in the repair and
maintenance of all types and
kinds of refrigeration equip
ment and appliances. Many
