Jerome, Jr. Tread way To Be Ordaiaed Wilmington Presbytery met Thursdsy, Mav 19, 1966 at the Delgade Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, for Its 227th meet ing with T. J. Turner presid ing as moderator. Along with other routine business, two young men were examined by the moderator as candidates for the ministry and to be received * under the watch care of the Presbytery. They were Mr. Da vid Earl Allen of Wilmington and Mr. Charles Herring of Pink HOI. Mr. Herring, a member of the Pink HOI Presbyterian Church, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Herring, Route 2, Pink HOI, and is presently a fresh man at Mount olive College. He plans to attend Wilmington Col lege for his Junior and senior years of college work. Also examined as candidates for Ordination were four men - who have Just completed their studies at Union Theological Seminary at Richmond, va. Th ese men were received Into Wilmington Presbytery and are scheduled to be oraalned In -j wc immediate iurure as Pres byterian Ministers. They were Mr. James R. Dellert to serve the shallotte Presbyterian ch urch, Shallotte; Mr. Charles R. Moore to serve the Lake w ac camaw Presbyterian Church, Lake Waccamaw; Mr. Ted J. Plon to serve the Garland Presbyterian church. Garland and Mr. w. Marshall Tredway to serve the Pink Hill and Plea sant view Presbyterian Chur ches. Mr. Tredway Is a native of Danville, Virginia. He entered the ministry after several ye ars experience in the automo bile business as sales mana ger and general manager for an Olds moblle-C ad lilac dealer ship. Mr. and Mrs. Tredway and son, BUlle, moved last Saturday into the Pink Hill Presbyterian Manse and his ordination service will be held In the Pink HOI Presbyterian Church on June 5th.
