Whit law (Nancy Fussell), and sons. Heart Fund Balloon solo David Matthews, left, is selling a Heart Fund balloon to Bob Mosback in Rose Hill. In order to help the Heart Fund Drive balloons were sold on Saturday, and will be sold at later dates. David Matthews, son of Dr. and Mrs. George P. Matthews, has assumed the chairmanship of tnis project in Rose Hill. David has a real interest in the Heart Fund Drive, and ap preciates the value of contributing to it. Last summer he had open heart surgery. Some of the techniques used in this op eration may have been learned by research made possible by the Heart Fnnd. - Mrs. Lillie Belle Brummitt, Heart Fund Chairman for Rose Hill asks that everyone contribute generously. Matthews, of Rose Hill, has just completed I a post-graduate course which has been given In Kins ton. Each year meolcal courses arid lec tures are scheduled for doc tors in the area in order th* they may be kept up to date on recent medical practices. This course was composed of eight lectures. Methodist WSCS The W.S.C.S. of the Rose Hill Methodist Church met on February 3 at the church. Mrs. Reld Fussell, president opened the meeting with prayer. After the business was con ducted, Mrs. Murphy Slngle tary led in singing. Mrs. Ch arles Sparks presented the pro gram entitled, "WhenChristia ns Are A Minority". Dean's List requirements are all A'S and B's with no grade below a B. She plans for a career in Med ical Technology. Rebecca is very active in the MYF of the Rose Hill Methodist Church while she was in high school, and at one time was president of the sub-district. She en ijoys music and dancing.
