Mrs. Faison McGowan and Mrs. N.B. Boney accompanied Mr. and Mrs. E.S. McGowan and their son to Turkey to the UDC meeting held in the home of Mrs. James Col well. On that occasion, E. S. McGowan was awarded a World War I Military CrqSe and his son, S.B., was awarded a similar Cross of Military Services for his record in World War II.
