Douglas Judge, Mayor 6-8-1 t-TOK-34 Open Letter May 29.1978 All Water Customers of the Town of Kenansville Dear Customers: 1 This letter is to notify you that in February, 1978, the water system serving your home or business failed to meet the bacteriological monitoring requirements as they appear in the U.S. Environmental Pro tection Agency's National -Interim Primary Drinking Water Regulations which became ef fective June 24, 1977. Dttring each month, y66r water system is required to submit one sample for bacterio logical analysis. In February no sample was submitted. There fore. the National Interim Pri mary Drinking Water Regu lations require the consumers be notified of the violation. The failure to meet moni toring requirements does not imply that the water supply is contaminated. However, in order to better protect your health, an adequate monitoring program was initiated in March. The samples submitted since then have all shown no con- j taminants.
