The youth team, consisting of approximately 30 youth, are recognized for their skills in the presenta iion 01 puppet ministry. The youth group will pre sent a unique worship ex perience aided by their puppet ministry. The Rev. Larry K. Violet and Harold Stroud are shown with the champion ewe. SOUTH LENOIR DOES GOOD - South Lenoir VICA drafting students competed in a contest against Rose High School in Feb ruary at Greenville. South Lenoir was very successful in both the mechanical and architectural contests. In the mechanical contest, South Lenoir's Otis Tutt placed first, followed by Clifton Koonce in second. Joey Hunter, third, Bobby Davis in fourth, William Boyette. sixth, and Jimmy Croom placed seventh. In the architectural contest, South Lenoir's Jeff Garner placed second and Greg Jarman third. They were followed by Lynn Tyndall in fifth. Roy Ipock in sixth, and Terri Carter, seventh. This was this year's first competition drawing for South Lenoir and H.I. Briefs FUND RAISING DINNER The Pleasant Hill Chapter 102, O.E.S. will have a fund-raising dinner on Saturday. March 13, fea turing barbecue pork and fried chicken. The dinner will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the lodge. Donations will be S3. REVIVAL There will be revival ser vices at Harper Soutiierland Presbyttrian Church each evening at 7:30 March 14-17. MISSION OUTREACH The First Baptist Church of Pink Hill has begun a mission outreach ministry. This type of ministry is geared toward ministering to the elderly and the shut-ins of the community. It involves taping the morning and evening services and taking them to shut-ins via a cas sette recorder. Kim. a graduate of the Uniyersity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is working as a dental hygienist with Dr. Michael Gray Smith in Kinston. ANTIQUE SHOW AND SALE The Jacksonville Lioness Club is sponsoring their sec ond antique show and sale at the National Guard Armory on Georgetown Road in Jacksonville. The event will be held Friday.
