Sand* Plain Senior Citizens On Saturday night, Jan. 22. -11 members of the Sandy Plain Senior Citi/ ?> enjoyed a dutch dinner at Duffs Restaurant in Beulaville.. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Houston sang several gospel hymns. Rev. Rashie Kennedy offered the p ayer of blessing. This is a non-denomina tional group of senior citizens. The building committee met Thursday night at the educational building. Eight members were present: Joel Kennedy, Rev. Rashie Ken nedy, Ernest Quinn, L.M. Bostic, Clinton Campbell, Eunice Bostic and Vallie Oxley. Named Art Director Thomas M. Hines Thomas M. Hines has been promoted to art director at Pearson Clark & Sawyer Advertising & Public Rela tions in Lakeland. Fla. In his new position. Hines will be responsible for the artistic products created for several clients, including Balmar Crimp Tool Corp. Before joining PC&S, Hines worked for Arldev Advertising in Deland and as a freelance artist. "It's wonderful to watch a person develop and grow in their work." says president Dick Pearson. "Tom has done that admirably in his time here and it's a pleasure to promote him to a job 1 know he can do well," Hines attended North Carolina State University at Raleigh and earned an AAS degree in commercial graphics from Randolf Tech College in Asheboro. A native of Kenansville, Hines and his wife Evelyn now reside in Lakeland. Established 19 years ago.
