Open Letter March 4, 1983 AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PEOPLE OF DUPLIN COUNTY: The many exciting artistic events which have been pro vided for the people of Duplin County are the result of the ingenuity and hard work of the Duplin County Arts Coujh :1. The Duplin County Arts Council under the leadership of Mrs. Merle Creech is to be commended for scheduling county-wide programs, ex hibitions. and classes which enrich and entertain people of all ages as well as social and economic levels. "Love the Arts" is the theme of the 1983 Fund raising Campaign now un derway. A look at the Arts Calendar will show why the people of Duplin have reason to lend support through con tributions for ? this enrich ment. I am pleased to have been a part of this year's fundraising efforts on behalf of the Arts Council. I urge you to participate by con tributing as much as you can. Sincerely, Wendell H.
