The club has 28 members signed up to date and anti cipates enrollment of several more before the charter night on May 14. The club will 0 meet at the B&S Cafe on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m., with the next 1 session slated for April 12. The Beulaville Lions Club, 1 organized 31 years ago, will sponsor the club in District 31-H. A guiding Lion was appointed to meet with the club during its first year. In attendance were Lions Cecil Miller and Orza Thigpen of ' 0 the Beulaville. Thigpen will serve as guiding Lion. The other officers will be selected at the April 12 meeting. There will be a ' training session for the new leaders to be held prior to 1 charter night. Further plans for the charter program will | be announced after the next meeting. International Representa tive J.L. Mashburn of Hen dersonville has been working with the membership on club formation during the past 30 days. He and Gov. Richard J. Kerr of Atlantic Beach, and Extension Chairman James B. Stocks of New Bern assisted in the organizational session. William D. Moxley, deputy governor, will also be involved in the completion of the organization and charter events. Lion Cecil Young of Hendersonville, extension chairman for District 31-A, also was a guest. The club is No. 55 in District 31-H, a 14-county area from Benson to Oak Island and Greenville to Mount Olive. It will be part jf Zone 10 in Region 3 under Zone Chairman Glenn Bunch of Snow Hill. It is the second club to be formed in the district this club year. The first was at Newport, which was chartered in November and which has shown steady growth since that time, Governor Kerr stated. o Briefs SUNRISE SERVICE A Pink Hill community Easter Sunrise service will be held at the Oakridge Me morial Park Sunday morning beginning at 5:45. The sermon will be delivered by the Rev. Ed Miles, pastor of the Christian Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. In case of rain, the service will be held at the Pink Hill United Methodist Church. SUNRISE SERVICE Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church : ear Albert *on will observe Easter Sun flle Services on April 3 beginning at 6 a.m. with breakfast following. ? A series of evangelistic services will be held April 4-8 at 7:30 p.m. each evening. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Bobby Futrell from Jackson Heights Free Will Baptist Church of Kinston. Pink Hill. < was completely destroyed by fire on Satur- ' day night. The fire was started by an undetermined origin. The family lost the entire contents of their home as a result of the blaze.
