Reynolds-Jackson Vows Spoken Carolina Beach State Park at Carolina Beach was the ? setting for the April 12rd outdoor wedding of Patricia Gail Jackson and Jerald Hughes Reynolds. The Reverend Lauren R. Sharpe, pastor of the Kenansville Baptist Church, officiated at the eleven o'clock double- 1 ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry F. Jackson of Worthington, ? Ohio. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon H. Reynolds of Kenansville. The bride chose a gown of white qiana featuring a high neckline of crystal pleated Chantilly lace. The fitted bodice was enhanced by a sheer yoke outlined with venise lace applique from which draped a wide crystal pleated ruffle of Chantilly lace. A crystal pleated ruffle A also bordered the floor length pleated qiana skirt at the hemline. Rows of venise lace applique were repeated at the neckline, waistline and hemline. Her wedding en semble was completed with a matching wide-brimmed hat rolled up on one side and trimmed with crystal pleated Chantilly. Venise applique accented the crown and ? fingertip veil. She carried a white Bible, a gift from her parents, upon which rested a cascade bouquet of yellow sweetheart roses, white daisies, babies'-breath and white lace. Pamela Smith of Raleigh was her sister's matron of honor. David E. Morrison of Jackson was the groom's best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Hilton in Wilmington hosted by the bride's parents. ' The bride received her B.S. degree in transportation at the University of Ten nessee in 1980. She is em ployed as vehicle systems coordinator in the transpor tation department of Duke Power Company in Char lotte. The groom holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in zoology from North Carolina State Univer sity. He is collections coor dinator with Science Mu seums of Charlotte, Inc., in Charlotte. A'ter a wedding trip to l'as<au in the Bahamas, the couple will be at home in Charlotte. On Friday evening. April 22nd, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at the Wilmington Hilton. JSTC HONOR ROLL CORRECTION Carolyn A. Williams of Magnolia made all A's dur ing the winter quarter at James Sprunt Technical Col lege and was named to the President's List rather than the Dean's List as previously stated. HOWARD - MAREADY ENGAGEMENT - Olivia Halso Maready of Warsaw proudly announces the engagement of her daughter, Megon Olivia Maready. to Louis Quinn Howard, son of Bobby Howard of Kenansville and the late Patsy Quinn Howard. A June 19th wedding is planned. Friends and relatives are invited. Kenansville News T & C Club Mrs. J.J. Wells was hostess for the Town & Country Bridge Club Tuesday night with Mes dames Lorena Vestal and Louise W. Mitchell substi tuting for two absent mem bers. Club high score prize was won by Mrs. Bill Spicer and b_ Mrs. Mitchell for the visiting players. For refresh ments, Mrs. Wells served a congealed salad with crackers. Liberty Hall Bridge Club The Liberty Hall Bridge Club met Wednesday night with Mrs. N.B. Boney in Pinecrest Acres. Visiting players were Mesdames Larry Warrington, Sheldon Swann and Nicky Bowden. Between progressions, the hostess, assisted by Mrs. Hortense T. Hasty served petit fours and cheese crisnies with coffee. High score for the evening was won by Mrs. A.T. Outlaw and by Mrs. Warrington for the visitors. Kontract Klub The Kenansville Kontract Klub met Ihursday night with Mrs. W.M. Ingram. Additional guests were Mes dames Louise W. Mitchell and Hazel W. Scott. High for the evening were Mrs. E.S. McGowan for members and Mrs. Scott for the visitors. The hostess, assisted by Mrs. George Penney, served prune cake, cheesies and coffee for refreshments. The Bridgettes Mrs. Bill McKay was hostess for the Bridgettes Club on Thursday night. Mesdames Martha Sitterson and Karen Benton were additional guests. Three tables of bridge were enjoyed with Mrs. Beth Brinson win ning high score, Mrs. Vickie Vinson winning second high, and Mrs. Rebecca Lockamy taking home traveling prize. For refreshments Mrs. McKay, assisted by Mrs. Bonny McPhaul, served hot fudge cake and coffee or coke. Birthday Party Allison Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth E. Smith, was given a birthday party on April 23rd by her parents to celebrate her third birthday. Helping her bv' enjoying "Kermit the Frog" birthda cake, ice cream, potato chips and soft drinks were her sister. Heather, and Amber and Amy James, Leigh Ann Quinn, Shasta Barnette. Kristin and Mar garet King. Thomas Brown, David Jackson and Amber Kornegav, all of Kenansville, ?????HI HI and Amanda and Jody Hodges of Wallace and Maura Griffith of Warsaw. Assisting Allison's mother in serving and supervising play were: Mesdames Joseph Hodges. Ronnie James, Kenneth King, Mike Brown and Susan Kornegay. Silver Streakers Nineteen Silver Streakers met at the Kenansville Bap tist Church Monday, April 18th to motor to Jacksonville for a dutch lunch at Fisher man's Wharf. This was their monthly outing. Among those present were: Sally I Tyndall, Wilmer Pate, Vir ginia Holland, Annie Jones, Fannie MeGowan, Sallie In gram, Hazel Scott, Louise Mitchell, Ruth Wells, Mary Jessup, Lorena Vestal, Ruby Newton, Carolyn Outlaw, Viola Quinn, Margaret Dail, Louise Boney, Mary and Troy D. Mullis and H.D. Taylor. They were joined by Betty and Tammy Pittman, daughter and granddaughter of Mrs. Viola Quinn. Cards for Cancer Don't forget the "Cards for Cancer" next Friday night, April 29th at 7:30 p.m. in the new Elementary School Cafeteria in Kenanv ville. Come one, come all. Only $2.50 per person. Re freshments will be served and all proceeds go to the Cancer Drive. Personals Sarah Purvis of Fayette ville spent the weekend with her cousin, Kelly McKay. Martha Swann and Louise Boney made a business trip to Wilmington Thursday. Carolyn Outlaw and Ruby Newton shopped in Wallace Tuesday. Pearl McGowen and Annie C. Rhodes made a business trip to Mount Olive one day last week. Misses Elizabeth Spicer of Raleigh and Julia Spicer of Chapel Hill spent the week end here with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Spicer. The Reverends Ann and David Dickey spent this week in Richmond, Va. on study leave. John Goodnow was guest soloist at Grove Presbyterian Church Sunday morning. Mrs. Gordon Kornegay visited Mr. and Mrs. Will Mabry in Rock Hill, S.C. Friday and Saturday. On Sunday she had as her guests for dinner, her sister, Louise Bullock of Mount Olive, ana Marsha Bullock of Portland, Oregon. The Reverend and Mrs. Troy D. Mullis accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Alvis Brogden of Williamsburg for the weekend. Depot Public Hearing The Town of Magnolia will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the Mag nolia Depot. The meeting will be held in the Magnolia Tofcn Hall.
