card of thanks
We wish to express our
appreciation to everyone who
sponsored Rachel Kennedy
in the Cystic Fibrosis Bike-A
Tnon. This may not have
meant much to some of you.
bat to Rachel and her family,
it meant a lot. Even though
she could not ride a bike, she
set a goal to walk five miles
and to raise as much money
as she could to help C. F.
Most of you know Rachel,
but to those who don't, she is
a 20-year-old young lady who
learned two weeks before her
18th birthday on April 1.
1481, that she was suffering
frtim a brain tumor. The
doctor said she couldn't live
wjthout an operation, which
left her paralized in her left
side. She could not walk for a
long time, but with God's
help. She is now walking. She
still can't use her left hand,
but 1 know God does perform
miracles.
Thanks to Linda West
brook, Pat Turner and Mary
Ann Byrd for walking some
of the way with Rachel, and
special thanks to Brad
Sandlin. her nephew, who
walked each step of the way.
Rachel raised over $440
a fid we are very proud of her.
