Kenansville Eastern I Association Meets I By E.M. Butler, Secretary Beginning June through October, there will be a continuance of organizational meetings of the Kenansville Eastern Missionary Assoc. and its auxiliaries scheduled as follows: June 4 - Daughters of Zion board meeting. Six Runs Baptist Church, Turkey. June It ? Kenansville Eas tern Baptist Training Union, Byrd's Chapel Baptist Church - the Theme of the convention, "The Church Extends a Helping Hand." June 18 - ministers, dea cons and missionaries ins titute conference in the Christian Education Training Center, Kenansville. June 24 and 25 - Kenans ville Eastern Sunday School convention convening in the Training Center. During July, institutes will be held each Saturday in the Training Center continuing through July 29 and 30 when the ministers and deacons union meeting will convene in Eastern Chapel Baptist Church in Goldsbobo. On July 31. Fifth Sunday. H the Northern and Southern Divisions of the Kenansville Eastern Ushers Assoc. will H meet in joint session with place to be announced. The closing of the institute will H include two/three night ses sions August 29,31 and Setu. 1-3. Plans for these meetings will be stated later. The Daughters of Zion annual meeting Friday. Sept. 2, plans for which will be stated later. This series will culminate in the annual session of the KEMBA Oct. 23-15 when ? messengers from 49 churches will experience Christian fellowship and H spiritual unity manifested in high degree. Rev. White, modera- H tor, is urging full support of all members in each meet Kenansville News Past Matrons and Past Patrons Club The monthly meeting of the Past Matrons and Past Patrons Club of Kenansville Chapter. #215, Order of the Eastern Star was held at Topsail Beach on Monday June 6th. at the cottage of Amos and Edna Earl Brin son. At six o'clock those present motored over to The Breezeway for a seafood supper. Among them were the Brinsons and their grand son. Danny, and Pannie and Walter Rhodes. Joyce and Kermit Williams. Thelma B. Murphy. Ruby G. Newton and Louise K. Boney. Personals Mrs. Hazel Bass of Clinton has been visiting her sister. Mrs. H.D.Taylor. The Timothy Outlaws t>f Brinsol. Va. spent the week end here with his mother. Mrs. A.T. Outlaw. Mrs. Faison W. McGowan spent Monday night in Favetteville with her sister. Mrs. Ada McMllRm. Mrs. Press Edwards of Kinston was luncheon guest of Mrs. Phil Krestch on Wednesday. She was accom panied here by Mrs. Lee Edwards who visited her sister. Mrs. Margaret O. Dail Mrs. Mattie W. Barbee spent several days recently in Nashville. Tenn. with her niece. Mrs. "Boots" Floyd. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Pearce and son and Mr. and Mrs. Cullin Melineaux of Rocky Mount visited the Rev. and Mrs. Worth Pearce last Sunday. Other recent guests of the Pcarces were Mr. and Mrs. David Faircloth and their sons of Kinston. Rev. and Mrs. Worth Pearce visited their son. Michael Pearce and family in Granite Falls recently and, also Mr. and Mrs. G.I. Pearce in Hickory and Mr. and Mrs. Gebe Goin in Newton. Mrs. W.M. Ingram and the Rev. Worth Pearce attended the N.C. Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church at the Methodist College in Favetteville last week. Mr. and Mrs. W.M. "Gene" Autry and son. Scott visited the State Ligislature Wednesday. After visiting with Senators Harold Hardi son and Joe Thomas and Representative Wendell Murphy. Bruce Ethridge and Gerald Anderson, they were treated to lunch at the Capi tal City Club restaurant by Representative Anderson.
