Gloria Brown, worthy
matron, and Gene Brown,
worthy patron, were in their
respective stations Tuesday
night when Kenansville
Chapter #215, Order of the
Eastern Star, held its regular
stated meeting. After the
ritualistic opening, the
worthy matron told of the
special projects of the worthy
grands for the ensuing year.
This was followed by a short
patriotic program by Louise
K. Boney urging members
to be proud of our flag and
fly it on special occasions like
the upcoming 4th of July.
Liberty Hall Bridge Club
Mrs. A.T. Outlaw was
hostess for the Liberty Hall
Bridge Club Wednesday
night. Mrs. Jim Johnson was
the only visitor substituting
for an absent member. Be
tween progressions, the
hostess, assisted by Louise
W. Mitchell and Ruth B.
Wells, served ice cream
floats and cookies. Carolyn
Hall was high scorer. Mrs.
Johnson was also given a
gift.

Thelma Murphy, who is
staying with her brother,
Walter Boone, while his wife
is hospitalized in Norfolk,
Va.

to Topsail Beach June 28 to
the cottaeeof Mrs. Archie D.
Benson. Mrs. Peggy Blan
chard took the group by her
Winnebago. After a day
of jogging, swimming and
fellowship, they dined at
Camp David for a seafood
supper.
