Boney, secretary, re minded the group that three jnembers were in the hos ^hal so cards were signed by all present for those three. Inasmuch as the August meeting is Family Night, the president asked Mrs. Ellis Yggal to complete the ar rangements and the secre tary would help her notify members. After closing with the collect, the hostess served blackberry cordial ice cream and cookies for re freshments. Personals Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Tart of Youngsville spent the weekend with Mrs. Sheldon Swann. ' Mr. and Mrs. David C. Williamson of Charlotte ?' spent the weekend with Mrs. Hazel Scott and Johnny, v Mrs. Viola W. Quinn ac- ' companied Mrs. Wilmer Gray Allen of Jacksonville to 1 Zebulon Thursday where they visited the Bobby Quinns for several days. Mrs. Marv Ellen Flanagan and Bryant and Scott of San Diego, have been visiting her sister, Mrs. Marte' Fife. Earl Fife of Manassas, Va., has been visiting the Fifes also. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gray and Mr. and Mrs. Corter Hargrove of Wilmington visited Mrs. Eva Hughes Sunday. The Victor Morrow family >f Iowa have been ^visiting Vlrs. Alton Newton enroute o the beach and other vaca ion spots. Duplin Duplicate Bridge Club The Duplin Duplicate Bridge Club played a five table Howell movement Thursday, July 14, with Kay Autry as director. The win ners were: First - Shirley Stainback and Walter Rouse of Kinston; Second - Pony Quinn and Morris Grady of Bculaville; Third ? Thelma Weatherly of Warsaw and Blanche Shipp of Clinton. 5 Friday July 15, the club was host to the Continent- jj wide lnternation Fund Game with eleven tables in play ^ and Doug Clark as the non- ' playing director. Overall winners were: First - Thelma ^ Weatherly of Warsaw and J* Blanche Shipp of Clinton: econd - Helen Caveness of ?fount Olive and Billy Irewer of Pink Hill; Third - larriet Chused and Pearl chechter of Kinston; fourth Fifth (tied position) ? Anne utton and Rachel Patten of ?fount Olive; and Velma and Permit Humphrey of Winston. Also winning master points at this large event were Dot McKemie, Penny Blenk, Chris Langley and Ed Yauck, all of Golds boro, and Eleanor Sawyer and I.J. Sandlin of Beula ville. Duplicate bridge is played every Thrusday evening at The General Store in Ke nansville at 7 p.m. The morning game on Mondays at 10 a.m. has been moved to Kay Autry's house at Route 1, Box 127 AA, Kenansville, on Highway 11 North of Kenansville.
