Michael Howard visited Tomipy Griffin in Pitt Memorial Saturday. Brown Kennedy and Rev. Garland Foushee visited Haywood Kennedy .in Veterans Hospital in Durham Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Cottle of Raleigh spent the weekend with Mrs. Shelton Cottle. They also .visited Mr. and Mrs. John F. Cottle. Mrs. Edwards is the former Karen Cowan, daughter of Waitus and Lil lian Cowan of Route 2, Beulaville. The paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Edwards of Route 3, Richlands. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George R. Cowan of Route 2, Beulaville, and Mrs. and Mrs. Leonard Lanier of Chinquapin, and Mrs. Glennie Houston of Route 1, Pink Hill. i Mrs. Emery Campbell en tertained rest home patients for lunch on Thursday. At tending were Mary Howard, Marearett Fuller and Julius Wells. Gladys Lewis joined them. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Thomas of Port Saint Lucie, Fla, spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. J.G. Thomas and girls. LaRue Mercer of Pink Hill joined them for the day. Tommy Griffin of Route 1, I Beul^villc, a retired fanner, was involved in an auto accident Monday. His pickup truck and an oil tanker wen involved. Griffin was taken to the emergency room of Duplin General and later transferred to Pitt Memorial in Greenville. Dorotny Sanderson _ is a patient in Lenoir Memorial in Kinston. Mrs. Orlanda Albertson is in Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. Sandy Plain Senior Citizens The Sandy Plain Senior Citizens meeting will be held Saturday, Sept. ll) at 6 p.m. in the educational building of the church. You are asked to bring a covered dish and tea and iqvite a friend to come with you. Paul Jarrell will have charge of the devotions and the Strings of Priase will entertain.
