Warsaw Youth, Killed In Accident Mark Alexander Huffman, 16, of Warsaw, died early Saturday morning following a traffic accident Friday night. , According to the Warsaw Police Department, the acci dent occurred near Warsaw Junior High School on N.C. 24. Huffman was killed when a car driven by Michael Kent Ezfcell, 16, of Warsaw, hit the car he was driving from behind and knocked it into a Union activity bus carrying 27 students, according to a report by Patrolman Steve Stancil. Ezzell was charged with careless and reckless drjving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident None of the students in the bus were injured, the report said. Huffman was a junior at James Kenan School. He played in the summer base ball program in Duplin County and Junior Varsity baseball at James Kenan last year. He was in the top fourth of his class academi cally. Waisaw Policeman Steve Standi stated the Huffman auto was traveling toward Clinton when it made a right turn into the driveway at Warsaw Junior High School. The Ezzell vehicle struck the rear of the Huffman vehicle causing the Huffman vehicle to leave the highway and collide with a fire hydrant and a brick wall beyond the driveway. The Ezzell vehicle then puiled into the left lane after colliding with the Huff man vehicle and struck the school bus which was in the left lane of the highway. Deaths & Funerals MARK L.
