PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF IPEOAL BOND REFERENDUM In Ihc ALBERTSON WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF DUPLIN COUNTY in Duplin County. North Carolina special bond referendum will be held veen 6:30 A M and 7:30 P.M.. on sday, January 10. 1964, at which e will be submitted to the qualified ts of the Albertson Water and Sewer trict of Duplin County the following stions. PUBLIC NOTICE ORDER AUTHORIZING $425,000 WATER BONDS WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 6 of Chapter 162A of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the Albertson Water and Sewer District of Duplin County, in Duplin County, North Carolina, was duly created for the purpose of providing water service to tne residents of the ter ritory included within said District and vested with the powers set forth in said Articles, WHEREAS, the Board of Commis sioners for the County of Duplin, North Carolina has found, determined and declared that there is a demonst ratable need for providing water service in said District ; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said Article 6, Mid Board is tne governing body of said District; now, therefore, BE IT ORDERED by the Board of Commissioners for Duplin County, Nqrth Carolina: I. That, pursuant to Article 6 of Chapter 162A of the General Statutes of North Carolina and The Local Govern ment Bond Act, as amended, the Albert son Water and Sewer District of Duplin County, in Duplin County, North Carolina, is hereby authorized to contact a debt, in addition to any and all other debt which said District may now or hereafter have power or authority to contract, and in evidence thereof to issue Water Bonds in an aggregate principal amount not exceeding $42S,000 for the purpose of providing funds, with any other available (inas, to construct a water system for said District, including the construction and installation of wells, an elevated water storage tank, water distribution facilities and appurte nant facilities and the acquisition of necessary land, rights of way and equip ment therefore 1. The benches were paid for primarily from a contribution from an association member, James Cyrus, a 1983 grad uate of the college's business administration program. Construction was by members of Prentice Smith's building trades classes. The installation of the two benches is the beginning of a long-range project of campus I beaut ification by the asso ciation. As funds become available, more benches and other additions are planned throughout the campus land scape. To raise funds, the asso ciation held a variety-talent show Nov. 17. A program of vocalists, dancing, comedy and drama was performed.
