Under state law, all county land must be appraised every eight years. The 1986 tax billings will be based on the new appraisal. The bid included a price for computer softwear to permi' inclusion of'some appraisal figures in the county's computer system. The bid, however, excluded equipment for including commercial and industrial property values in the sys tem. The board had intended that equipment to enter commercial and industrial property values in the com puter system be included. Pearson representatives said the company would need an additional 530,000 for that inclusion. W.B. Farris of Charlotte, who bid 5231,960, said the company's bid included the softwear in question. Roland Appraisal Co. of Charlotte bid 5298,800on the project. County officials want to enter all appraisal informa tion in the county computer system so county workers can do most of the work on future appraisals. Commissioner D.J.
