GUARDIAN CARE RESIDENTS ROCK-N-ROLL On Feb. 14, the residents of Guardian Care Nursing Home parti cipated in a Rock'N' Roll Jamboree for the American Heart Association. Over $300 has been raised so far. The residents rocked in chairs and rolled in wheelchairs to raise money donated or pledged. The event is conducted each year in nursing homes across the country. Sponsored by the American Health Care Association, the Jamboree en courages the community to give financial support to health education and research. Residents Vicky Armstrong and B.F. Raynor were crowned King and Queen. Iwo other residents were also '"-""tirfd for rolling and rocking the longest that day. They are sisters. Mrs. Ruby Riggs (who rolled over 36 miles with one mile equalling 200 feet, and Miss Betty Sanders, who rocked over three hours. The event also included a bake sale and a drawing on a homemade quilt donated by the ladies of the Beulaville Baptist Church. The winner of the quilt was Brinest Brinson of Warsaw. The residents and staff of Guardian Care expressed their appreciation to everyone who sup ported the project.
