Engagement Announced
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Whaley of Warsaw are proud to announce the
engagement and plans for the forthcoming marriage of their daughtef,
A Donna Leah, to Jeffrey Stewart Grady, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Jack
Grady of Kenansville. The wedding is planned for April 15 at three o'clock at
Unity United Methodist Church, Route 2, Warsaw.
Greenevers Jaycees
To Be Chartered
a A new Jaycee chapter has been
^ formed in the Greenevers commu
nitv. A final organization meeting
was held Feb. 28 when officers were
delected and the date for the official
Charter night was set.
Officers of the Greenevers Jaycees
are Hartis Stallings, president;
Dwight Dixon, individual develop
ment vice president; Alfred Boney,
community development vice presi
dent; Douglas Boney, secretary;
Donald Ray Carroll, treasurer; and
Jeffrey Blackman, state director.
Several additional officers will be
appointed by the president. Other
charter members are David Beamon,
Richard Brown, Wilbert Bryant,
Craig Chasten, Kelvin Chasten,
Ronnie Hill, James McCalop, Bur
nice Matthews, Ervin Matthews,
Glenn Moore, Jerome Murray,
Barnabus Pearsall, Phillip Teachey
and Ronald Wright.
The charter night has been set for
March 20. Final details are being
made. N.C. Jaycees President Jim
Godfrey of Southern Pines will be the
speaker and present the charter.
The Greenevers Jaycees were
extended by the Kenansville Jaycees
with assistance from District
Director Ray Rhinehart of the War
saw chapter. Other Jaycees chapters
in Duplin County are in Wallace and
at the Duplin County Correction
Center near Kenansville.
The Jaycees is a leadership train
ing civic organization for young men
between the ages of 18 and 35. If you

of their daughter. Miss Angie Olivia Lee, to Mr. Carl Scott Rivenbark of
Route 2, Mount Olive, son of Mr. and Mrs. 0. Carl Rivenbark. The wedding
is planned for April 22 at five o'clock in Woodland United Methodist Church
at Albertson. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.

Three Warsaw men were among
137 fathers entertained as special
guests of their daughters during
Peace College's Father-Daughter
Dav on Feb. 11 in Raleigh.
Among those participating in the
pre-Valentine's Day activities were
David H. Carlton and his daughter,
Julie; Frank B. Moore and his
daughter Karen; and Alfred L. Smith
and his daughter, Kelly.
Dads and daughters danced to
gether at the dinner-dance, watched
a Peace basketball game and were
entertained by members of the
sophomore class presenting "She
Haw,'a skit poking fun at college life.
Father-Daughter Day is an annual
event sponsored by the Peace
Student Government Association.
Peace is a two-year women's college
