Greenevers Jaycees To Be Chartered a A new Jaycee chapter has been ^ formed in the Greenevers commu nitv. A final organization meeting was held Feb. 28 when officers were delected and the date for the official Charter night was set. Officers of the Greenevers Jaycees are Hartis Stallings, president; Dwight Dixon, individual develop ment vice president; Alfred Boney, community development vice presi dent; Douglas Boney, secretary; Donald Ray Carroll, treasurer; and Jeffrey Blackman, state director. Several additional officers will be appointed by the president. Other charter members are David Beamon, Richard Brown, Wilbert Bryant, Craig Chasten, Kelvin Chasten, Ronnie Hill, James McCalop, Bur nice Matthews, Ervin Matthews, Glenn Moore, Jerome Murray, Barnabus Pearsall, Phillip Teachey and Ronald Wright. The charter night has been set for March 20. Final details are being made. N.C. Jaycees President Jim Godfrey of Southern Pines will be the speaker and present the charter. The Greenevers Jaycees were extended by the Kenansville Jaycees with assistance from District Director Ray Rhinehart of the War saw chapter. Other Jaycees chapters in Duplin County are in Wallace and at the Duplin County Correction Center near Kenansville. The Jaycees is a leadership train ing civic organization for young men between the ages of 18 and 35.
