Duplin residents are invited to find out at the second annual health fair hosted at Goshen Medical Center in Faison March 30 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Goshen Medical Center is one of 40 sites established to host the WRAL/Winn-Dixie health fair in North Carolina. Last year the six hour health fair at Goshen Medical Center was held in April and screened more than 315 people. Local sponsors for the health fair have increased to 49 which Goshen Medical Center family counselor and fair coordinator Elinor Ezzell said is 15 more than in 1984. Each health fair site will have specific stations for free screening of blood pressure, height, weight, vision and anemia. An optional blood chemistry exam, which screens for diabetes, kidney and liver disease, triglycerides, iron and cholesterol, is available for a fee of $8. A com bination of the above blood tests plus a coronary risk profile is available for $14. Ezzell pointed out the risk profile is new to the health fair. Goshen hopes to increase the number attending the 1984 health fair and Duplin 4-H members have volunteered to distribute information flyers throughout the county. The health fair is sponsored by WRAL-TV 5. 101-FM. and Winn Dixie. It is based on a model provided by 'the National Health Screening Council and is one of 77 such health fair projects around the country. Hundreds of Used Kitchen I Cabinets. Doors. Windows. Ranges.
