Barbecue Supper

sponsor a supper from 4:30 p.m. to
7:30 p.m. with "eat-in" or "take
out" orders.
The supper will be held in the
school cafeteria and includes .bar
becued pork, slaw, potato salad,
hushpuppies and drink for S3 or you
may choose barbecued chicken,
slaw, potato salad and hushpuppies
and drink for S3. If vou desire, a
combination of pork and chicken
for S3.SO is available. Desserts will
be available for SO cents.

any E.E. Smith student or at the

At 8 p.m., the school will present a
talent show in the gymtoriiun with
cash. prizes for the winners and
runners-up. Prizes are being donat
ed by Foxes of Wallace, Theresa's
Fashions of Beulaville and
Kenansville, the Kenansville Drug
Store and The Belle Shoppe. of
Kenansville.
Judges will be Ms. Mary Porter of
Warsaw, Alexander Leach of Rose
Hill and Mae Spicer of Kenansville.
An added attraction will be Jack Carr
of Magnolia as master of cere
monies. Admission charge for the
talent show is SI.

Scholarship Finalists
Andy Maready of Beulaville, a
senior at East Duplin High School, is
one of 500 finalists for a Jostens
Foundation Scholarship. He is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldridge
Maready.
Andy was one of more than 19,000
high school students throughout the
rl ii I .
United States who applied for the
award. The 200 scholarship winners
will be announced this spring.
Selection of the finalists and winners
is based on outstanding achieve
ments in school and community
affairs, meaningful work experiences
and academic excellence.

New Business In Pink Hill
Cathy's Country Ceramics opened recently in Pink Hill on Broadway Street
next to HJ Chevrolet. Cathy's will feature a gift shop with instructions given

Duplin All County Choir Concert
The Duplin. All-County Choir con
cert will be held April 6 (Friday) at 8
p.m. in Kenan Memorial Auditorium
with guest conductor. Dr. Joseph
Jackson of Croker College in
Hartville, S.C. Area junior high and
high school students are included in
the choir.

First Citizens Bank has extended
drive-up window hours at its Beu
laville office located on Main at Lee
Street.
The drive-up window is now open,
from 9 a.m. to S p.m. Monday
through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6
p.m. on Friday. The lobby is open 9
a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
