: Rest Stop Benches At The Courthouse - . County workers are installing two benches on the Courthouse grounds and have plans to install two more in the near future. The two being installed are on the walkway to the Courthouse. The others will be located off the walkway under the trees. The cement benches were made by Prentice Smith at James- Sprunt Technical College and are being set in place by, left to right, Emery Brown, James Williams and Elton Blizzard, and, standing, is Stacy Smith, county maintenance supervisor. ^ Mount Olive College Singers To Perform In Presidential Park The Mount Olive College Singers have performed their spring concert series in Charlotte, Raleigh, Jack sonville, Fayetteville and Manteo. Farrior Named Winner The United States Achievement Academy announced that Emily R. Farrior has been named a 1984 United States Award winner in science and leadership. This is a prestigious honor few students can hope to attain. In fact, the Academy recognizes less than 10 percent of all American high school students.
