Beulaville News Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Lanier and Mrs. Raybourn Lanier were a^ Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville Tuesday for Mr. Lanier's medical check-up. Lee Raynor and Faye went to Greenville Friday to get his wife and her mother who was released from Pitt Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. W.l. Miller Jr. of Clinton visited Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mercer Saturday. Randv Sandlin of Greensboro came Friday to spend the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. I.J. Sandlin Sr. Eloise Thomas made a business trip to Kinston Thursday. Linda Barnette and son and Ludie Griffin were in Jacksonville Friday for medical check-ups. Mrs. Archie Henderson and daughters were in Greenville last weekend for a medical check-up of Mrs. Henderson. Mrs. Archie Lanier recently visited Polly Cade, daughter of Carrie Hines Weston, in Virginia Beach, Va. Jennie Mae Parker and Mrs. Archie Lanier shopped in Kinston Thursday and went on to Greenville to visit Sue Hallow and family. Harold Glenn Lanier, Mayo Lanier and Hazel Brinson visited Mrs. Joe Gillen in Fayetteville Wednesday. Gerald Davis of Kinston visited Mrs. Leon Davis Friday. Dr. Sylvia Brown and Jessica and Laura Catherine of Greenville spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. P.E. Thigpen. Mr. and Mrs. Hosea Hunter spent the weekend in More head City. The Limestone Singers appeared at Caswell Center Sept. 9. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Whaley hosted a barbecue dinner for his con struction workers Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Thomas left in their mobile travel home for their home in Florida Thursday. Cleveland Turner is a patient in Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston. Rev. Harmon Brown is in the 1CU of Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. Hazel Brinkworth has returned home after several days in Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. Homecoming The Beulaville Baptist Church will be having Homecoming on Sunday. Sept. 23. The Rev. Garland L. Foushee, pastor, invites you to come and enjoy the day of worship and fellowship. Rev. Bill Sutton, pastor of Blue Creek Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. The traditional Harvest Day offering will be taken this year to be used to pay on the activity van which the church pur chased in August. There will be lunch in the fellowship hall after the morning message, according to Rev. Foushee. County Guidance Services According to Bobbie S. Allen, guidance counselor at North Duplin High School, comprehensive guidance services exist for all students inthe Duplin County schools. In an effort to improve these services for students and parents, regular articles will appear announc ing test dates and other activities. As the 1984-85 school year begins, guidance services will be provided by the following staff: Dr. Austin Carter, director; Ester Durham and Judy Hunter, East Duplin High School; Elizabeth Blair and Jessie Best - Wallace-Rose Hill High School and Charity Junior High; Debbie Smith.
