Adina Louise Guy and William
Bradley Beane were united in mar
riage Saturday at the Harrisburg
United Methodist Church in Harris
burg^ Rev. Orion Hutchinson and
the bride's father, Rev. Charles Guy
of Pisgah United Methodist Church
presided over the four o'clock cere
mony.
Wedding music was performed by
Mrs. Gwynn Morris, organist, and
Timothy Hidgen, trumpeteer.
The bride is the daughter of Rev.
and Mrs. Charles R. Guy of Route 4,
Lincolnton. The groom's parents are
Mr. and Mrs. William D. Beane of
Charlotte.
Escorted to the altar and given in
marriage by her father, the bride
wore a white taffeta gown designed
with a re-embroidered Alencon lace
bodice. The off-the-shoulder V
neckline was accented with bows,
sequins and seed pearls. The full
skirt and chapel-length train were
flounced and trimmed with chantilly
lace. The bride wore a re-em
broidered aletyon lace, sequin and
pearl tiara wnth fingertip-length
tulle veil and carried an arrangement
of pink tiger lilies trimmed with silk
purple violets.'
Miss Christy Guy of Lincolnton,
sister of the bride, was maid of
honor. She wore an ash rose full
length taffeta gown with a drop
shoulder bodice and a double-ruffled
neckline. She carried a single pink
tiger lily trimmed with silk purple
violets.
Bridesmaids were Ms. Shannon
Shields of Winston-Salem and Ms.
Jill Chandler of Athens. Ga., cousins
of the bride; Ms. Donna Beane of
Fredericksburg, Va., sister of the
groom; and Mrs. Ann Richardson of
Charlotte; and Minday Shields,
cousin of the bride, was a junior
bridesmaid. They wore gowns and
carried flowers identical to those of
the honor attendant.
Miss Krista Guffy of Harrisonburg
was flowergirl.
The groom's father served as best
man. Ushers included Bill Smith and
Ray Smith of New London, uncles of
the groom; Chad Shields of Win
ston-Salem, cousin of the bride; and
Barry Dowell of Fredericksburg, Va.
Todd Williams of Concord was a
junior groomsman.
A reception was held following the
ceremony at the church fellowship
hall. A three-tiered wedding cake
was served, as well as lime punch,
finger sandwiches, peanuts and an
assortment of vegetables with dip.
Assisting with the serving were: Ms.
Linda Gordon of Charlotte, aunt of
the groom; Mrs. Gayle Shields of
Winstop-Salem, aunt of the bride;
and Mrs. Barbara Morrison of
Harrisburg.
The bride is a graduate of Central
Cabarrus High School in Concord
and attended Central Piedmont
Community College in Charlotte.
She is employed by the University of
North Carolina at Charlotte. The
bridegroom is a graduate of South
Point High School in Belmont and
attended Spartanburg Methodist
College.
Following a wedding trip to Gat
linburg, Tenn., the couple will reside
in Spartanburg, S.C.
Mrs. Beane is the granddaughter
of Tyson and Janette Guy of Forest
City and great-granddaughter of
W.A. Guy of Beulaville.

Vows
On Sunday, September 2, at
one-thirty in the afternoon, Anita
Gail Tvndall and Wesley Aaron
Powell were united in matrimony at
the Marriage Chapel in Dillon, S.C.
Reverend Tommy Herring officiated
at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Theodore Tyndall of Pink Hill and
the late Mrs. Evelyn Tvndall. The
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Wesley Ray Powell of Pink Hill.
