A resident of. Tryon who is greatly
interested in educational matters in
Polk county called our attention to
the fact that the County Board of
Education failed; to publish their an
nual report last year, and wants to
know if it will be published this year.
He also showed us the law governing
this matter, which plainly states that
iff there is a newspaper published in
the county that the report SHALL
BE PUBLISHED THEREIN.
We have not been here long enough
to know what the Board has been do
ing in the matter in the years gone
by, but we do know that if the law
says they shall publish the reivn
that they owe it to the people of the
county to comply with the law a .
we believe will do so. Under the
statutes the report is due for publi
cation after the s August meeting of
the Board. I
