Streadwick suffered a stroke of apoplexy last week, but is getting along nicely at present. Mjss Ruth McFee returned from Knoxville, Tenn., today, where she has has been buying a fall stock of mil linery. Mrs. E. B. Cawthray returned home Wednesday after a visit with friends in Spartanburg and Green ville, S. C. Miss Lucille Orr came down for a visit to her parents from the child- rens' hospital camp at Saluda, Tues day evening. Miss Reba Barnard, who was called to her home in Asheviile on account of the illness and death of her niece, re turned home Tuesday. Mrs. Clarence Morgan, who has been in a hospital at Spartanburg for several days, returned home Saturday evening much improved. Dr. and Mrs. M. L. Taft and child ren will leave Monday for their future home at Atlanta The many friends of this excellent family regret to see them leave Tryon. Mrs. Lorena Farrington and daugh ter, Mrs. W. L. Webster, after a vis it of several weeks with relatives in Tryon, returned to their home in Bir mingham, Alabama, Wednesday. Mrs. J. B. Hester, of Mt. Carmel, S. C., who is spending the summer at the Norman home in Tryon, has as her guests her three sons, who came up from South Carolina to enjoy a short visit with her. Gwyn, This building has been outhtted with the latest optical office equipment, including a regular: eye hospital dark room for eye ex aminations, with all the necessary equipment. He has also another room for examinations with the regu- ar daylight. Dr. Dula has installed in this building a full lense-grinding and mounting the lense from this rough. Dr. Dula bears the distinc tion of being the only eye specialist in North Carolina who owns and op erates his own lense-grinding plant, and he claims to have the best equips ped office in the state. Dr. Dula is still attending to some mail orders hrough his Charlotte office, but it is his intention to do most of it through his Lenoir office as soon as his son, Frederick, returns from taking his course in lense-grinding.
