Mr. John Sloan, who has been connected with the Ballen ger Co., for some time as sales man in the grocery department, has resigned his position and left Tuesday morning for Aber deen, where he has accepted a position with a drug firm of that place. His many friends regret to see leave. Born to Mr.'and Mrs. P. Mc Elhenney, on last Friday even ing Feb. 23th, a fine baby boy, who has been given the name of Harold Eugene McElhenney. Mrs McElhenney will be rem embered to her many Tryon friends, as^Miss Emily Fisher.
