Bartleson and children arrived in Tryon yes terday from Florida, and will occupy the Kennedy Lodge. Mrs. Bartleson's many .friends are glad to welcome her back to Tryon. The Methodist people are remodeling and otherwise im proving their church edifice. The building has been raised, and Sunday school rooms added and other improvements which add much to the convenience and appearance of the building Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Peattie, have returned to Tryon after spending several * months in New York and Chicago, where thev have been engaged in the newspaper work on New York and Chicago papers. Their many friends in Tryon are glad to welcome them back home. The Tryon Hand Weavers resumed operations this week after a shut down of several months. Spartanburg is in the midst of preparations for the second annual Piedmont Exposition, which will be held under a mammoth tent on the Billy Sunday Tabernacle site, April 6 to 14. Last spring many visitors from Tryon and surrounding territory attended the exposi tion at Spartanburg, and this year the assurance is given that it will be bigger and better in every way. The tent in which it will be held will cover 40,000 square feet of space, surpass ing in size the giant circus tents. The fashion show and the automobile show will be among the principal features this year as they were last year. Made in-the-Piedmont products will be featured, which includes Tryon and surrounding coun try. Visiting parties to the second annual Piedmont Exposition will find a warm welcome at the Chamber of Commerce, as us ual.
