The Editor's Heaven A few clays ago a group of progressive farmers were in Lr otlice paying up their sub scriptions. They were discuss er nmonvr themselves the mer jis of various newspapers. One j- t)iem remarked that he had [HVn a subscriber to the News practically all his life and al ways expected to be one. How ?i person could afford to do with out his home paper was more ? nan he could see. The others voiced the same opinion and one remarked that he would not do without the Grant Coun ty News even if it cost him $15 a year, but admitted that he would not like to pay that price. We run across hundreds of peoplle like this in oilr daily work. They are people who know they have a good county paper, as the county papers go, and are not stinted in their praise of it. But on the other hand we run across others who are not so enthusiastic. Every once in a while a good friend ilrops in to renew his subscrip tion, who remarks, "I want to; pay up again. The paper is not worth but I can hardly d6 without it." This remark is usu ally made in a friendly spirit of jocularity and we take it for "what it is worth. As a matter of fact your County paper, whether it is one of the best or the. poorest, is worth all to you that you pay for it. It is very welj worth while to any resident/ of Grant lounty or anyone who has an interest in Grant County, and I his applies equally not only to : lie Grant County News but to all other county newspapers in the state or nation. Its columns frequently contain matter worth while which you could not get through any other med ium. Your editor is publishing all of the news pertaining to his par ticular locality which is worth publishing that he is able to 4 Constance & Armand 1 town ? lot ? Dillard W.
