McNeiil. Miss Carolyn Fulcher Becomes Bride of John Michael Moran In a lovely Candlelight cere mony Friday evening at right o' clock, Miss Carolyn Fulcher be came the bride of TSgt. John Michael Moran at St. Egbert's Catholic church. Father Elmer Landscr officiated, using the dou ble ring ceremony. Seven-branched candelabra and white urns containing white glad ioli were placed within the altar rail, which was draped with white and entwined with southern smi lax. Floor baskets of white glad ioli and seven-branched candelabra stood on either side of the altar. Prior to the ceremony, Mrs. Claude Uicks, aunt of the bride, rendered a program of organ mu sic, including "Because," and "Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life." Mr. Ken neth Bradley of Charleston. W. Va., sang Grieg's "I Love Thee." Mrs. Josiah Bailey Jr. rendered Gounoud's "Ave Maria," and Mr. Claude Ricks of Pantego, N. C, uncle of the bride, sang "f Love You Truly." The traditional wed ding marches were used. The bride entered on the arm of her father, W. L. Fulcher. Her wedding gown of white duchess satin, fashioned with a lohg-waist-cd, fitted bodice and sweetheart neckline, was buttoned down the hack with tiny covered buttons. The long sleeves ended in c: 11a points over the hands. The full skirt, fashioned with a bustle, ex tended into a sweeping circular train. Her finger-tip length veil of imported French illusion fell from a coronet of crystallized or ange blossoms. Her only orna ment was a diamond luvaliore, an heirloom in her mother's family. She carried an arm bouquet of white bridal roses and Bristol fairy, tied with white satin rib bon. Miss Ruth Macy, the maid of honor, wore a gown of pale blue summer taffeta, fashioned with a aeep round neckline outlined by a wide bertha, and a very full skirt with circular hip yoko. Her short, pointed mitts were of matching material. She carried an arm bouquet of long-stemmed American Beauty roses and Bris tol fairy, nnd wore a bandeau of matching flowers and blue tulle in her hair. The bride chose Mrs. Kenneth Bradley of Charleston, W. Va., as her matron of honor, and Misses Patsy Ballon and Wil ma Wade as bridesmaids. Their gowns and bouquets were identical to those of the maid of honor. SSgt. Henry S. Moran of Fay etteville was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were TSgt. A. F. Tomlinson, Sgt. J. M. McBryde, and. SSgt. J. L. Gonzalez, all of Cherry Point. ':' 1 Mrs. Fulcher, mother ' of the bride, chose a becoming floor length gown of dusty rose crepe with a corsage of pink roses. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Fulcher. She is a graduate of the Morehead City High school and completed the commercial course at the Wo man's College of the University of North Carolina. At the time of her marriage, she was society edi tor of the NEWS-TIMES. Mr. Moran is the son of Mrs. Patrick Moran and the late Mr. Moran of Westernport, Md. He is a graduate of Bruce High school in Westernport. For the past six years, he has served in the United States Marine Corps, serving two years overseas during World War II. At present he is station ed at Cherry Point. Immediately following the cere mony, Mr. and Mrs. Moran were honored at a reception at the home of the bride's parents oh North Sixth street. Mrs. James McCluer, aunt Of the bride, greeted the guests, and Mrs. Louise Norris presented them to the receiving line. Guests were directed by Mrs. Rhonda Ricks, aunt of the bride, to the Cift room, where Mrs. W. II. Windley, also an aunt of the bride, presided. The bride's bonk was presided over by Miss Nellie Fulclter, aunt of the bride. The dining room table, covered with an imported lace cloth, was centered with a four-tiered wed ding cake, topped lv a miniature bride and groom. Over the table was hung a large white wedding hell, from which streamers of white s::tin ribbon reached to the rorners of the room. On the ta ble were arrangements of white gladioli and bee fern, nnd triple branched candelabra. The crystal ; -uncli bowl was placed on another table. Following the cutting of the first slice by the bridal couple, Mrs. Ueaden Ballon served the wedding cake. Mrs. I. E. Plttmnn served the punch, and Mrs. Roma Styron assisted in the serving of the other refreshments, nuts and mints. For traveling Mrs. Moran chose a white cord summer suit, with which she wore brown accessories, and the corsage of white roses lift ed frorn her wedding bouquet. After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Moran will be at home in Morehead City. Out of town guests present for the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Claude Ricks, Mr. and Mrs. Rhonda Ricks, Mr. C. E.
