Mrs. Tallman wa n route to Bachelor to spend the day with Mrs. John Smith. Mrs. Pearl Olund and Philip fay lor were in New Bern Tuesday. ' Mrs. M. C. Adams and J. C. Adams were in New Bern Friday on business. Mrs. Pearl Olund, Philip Taylor and Johnnie Olund motored to Ba chelor recently to visit Mr. and Mrs, Fletcher Taylor. Willie Miller, of Hyattsville, Maryland, came Wednesday for a visit with Mrs. Carl H. Morton. Mrs. Miller has been here for three weeks. Rudolph Cheek, who has been returned to Norfolk, Virginia. Mrs. William Noe and Mrs. Joe Sadler Morton visited Mr. Morton Wednesday at the Morehead City Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Joel Davis and Miss Mary Elizabeth Davis have return ed from Asheville where they at tended the wedding of their son and brother, Henry Davis, to Miss Thelma Ball. Mr. and Mrs. Davis will live at Statesville, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Xenophon Mason and son, Charles, of Marshallberg, spent Thursday here with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mason. Misses Elizabeth Morton and Ca therine Noe and Willie Miller mo tored to Morehead City Thursday morning to see Joe Morton at the hospital. Mrs. Morton accompanied them and spent the day. Miss Mary Lou Mason is spend ing the weekend at Chapel Hill with friends. Mrs. Vernon Lee Hancock was in Beaufort Friday afternoon. Taylor motored to Kinston to take tobacco and attend the opening sales. Ralph H. Lupton, of Raleigh, was here Thursday afternoon to see re latives. Philip Taylor nd Douglas Wil liams attended tobacco sales Fri day at Greenville. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. McLawhorri spent the weekend with relatives at Core City. ' Terry Witherington, of Vance boro, is visiting his grandmother, Mrs. W. C. Williams. Mr. and Mrs. Burncy L. Wither ington and children, Phil, Beverly and Terry, of Vanceboro, passed through Wednesday afternoon en- route to Harkeri Island. . Stokes, assistant county agent for the State College Extensipp Service. ; He said farmers are using tpp crop not only for soil improvement but also for grazing purposes, and many of them plan to harvest a seed crop this year. in Leon Stokes, Linwood, has grac ed sweet clover with beef cattle continuously since about March 15.
