(Continued From Page One) barracuda, spade fish, torpedo ray, ray, frigate mackerel, red porgy, spot-tailed pin-fish, sturgeon, moor ish idol, sundial flounder, male and female seahorses, tarpon, two trig ger fish and three sailfish 30 and 32 inches long. Dr. Prythcrch says that among the various models cast, one was made of the largest menhaden on record, caught by one of Harvey Smith's boats. Now that the work is completed, prematurely to be sure, Dr. Pry therch is preparing a leaflet des cribing the technique of making molds, and models of food and game fishes. Contained in the leaf let will be diagrams and informa tion on the making of fish models, based mainly on the work accom plished in the Pivers Island pro ject. North Carolina's farms and in dustries annually use 100 million board feet more lumber than is produced in the State. Some of North Carolina's furni ture industries are importing as much of 60 per cent of their hard wood furniture stock from other Southern States. Rhodes attended the oyster hear ing Aug. 27 and said that the oys ter dealers present spoke heartily in favor of the rehabilitation act of which many had disapproved a year before. ' , t "That's where they got their water." he explained. By "they" he meant the still operators. I looked 1 down into the dark hole and at the bottom saw some brack ish water. At the spout where the whisky ran out of the copper coil was a forked stick with a white cloth tied and knotted around the fork ed part. This was the strainer. I was told that at ' one still . they found an old felt hat (hat was used as the strainer. , ' The booming end banging and knocking went on in that little cleared spot in the woods for a bout half an hour. Limbs over head shut out, the sky and the (mats continued to swarm over the spilled mash which was still giving off a little sizzling sound like gin ger ale when it's first poured. The still was found by the of ficers shortly .after 11 o'clock Sat urday night but they waited until daybreak to demolish it. The rig was located about three-fourths of a mile northeast of Mr. Safrit's sawmill on the property purchased by the American Legion for a fair ground.
