Potter Sectijn A of the Woman's Auxi liary of St. Paul's Episcopal Church met at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon with Mrs. T. T. Potter at her iiome on Front Street Ex tension. Mrs. James Morrill, president, called the meeting to order and read the devotional. After official and committee reports, Mrs. Mor rill appointed the following com mittee to work with Mr. Martin, the rector, on a family and social relations basis: Mrs. R. H. Dow dy, chairman, Mrs. Ernest Davis, Mrs. G. B. Stovall, Mrs. George Eastman and Mrs. W. h, Martin. An offering was then taken to be presented at the Convocational meeting in Wilmington on Oct. 19, which offering is to be used for mission work in the Diocese of East Carolina. During the social hour delicious refreshments were served. Annie Jones Circle Meets With Miss Lottie Sanders Miss Lottie Sanders entertained members of the Annie Jones cir cle of the Ann Street Methodist Church on Monday afternoon. Bcvotionals were given by Mrs. Jennie Ipock and Miss Martha Jones led in prayer. Twelve members were present and were served fruit juices with peanuts anti cookies. Mrs. Charles Davis Wins High at Bridge Party Mrs. W. I,. Rudder entertained her bridge club last Friday eve ning at her home on Front Street. Bridge was played t two tables with Mrs. Charles Davis, winning bath powder for high score. The hostess served fruit salad with coffee. Mrs. Robert Smith will entertain the club tonight. CHURCHES follow Revival Through the generosity of Miss Myrtle Webb, two building lots at the corner of 22m and Bridges, streets were given to the church' society. The Pamlico Union dis-l triet contributed S1.000, while ma ny individual gifts were made, en abling the society to erect at a cost of approximately $3,500 a suit able chapel to meet the present needs of the church. The larger part of the properly has been re served for a more pretentious building in the future. The first service in the new chanel was held Sunday. Sept. 12.
