nOREHEAD CITY
BE IT ORDAINED that on and alter June 1st, 1944, every ten
ant, bead ol family, or other resident of the Town of Morehead City,
and every manager, operator, or owner of a place of business doing
business in the corporate limits ol said town shall have at his or her
place ol residence and or place ol business, a garbage or trash re
ceptable large enough to receive and contain all garbage, trash, or
other waste material accumulating al said residence or place ol busi
ness, said receptacle lo be placed and kept at all times, when being
used, in some place convenient lor the garbage collectors, as lor in
stance, some alley, property or street line, or other suitable place, and
said receptacle to be covered at all times by a lid sufficient to keep
out flies and or other germ or filth-carrying Insects.
Every person, firm, or corporation violating this ordinance shall
be fined $1.00, with costs, for the first offense, and $5.00 and costs for
each additional offense, and each successive day this violation shall
continue shall be considered a separate offense.
