Eleven members were present. Fudge was served by Mrs. Dell Scarborough and Mrs, Martha O'Neal, Two new members joined the class. Mrs. Virginia Austin and Mrs. Janice Taylor. Sonny Tolson spent the week end here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. id Tolson. - C. C. Andrew, of Alma, Georgia, is visiting Campbell Williams for a few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Chesley Austin and children, and Mrs. Austin's mother visited Mr. Austin's mother, Mrs. Harvey Wahab for a few days last week. " ' Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Gaskins spent the week end at Hatteras with Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Gaskins. Mrs. Eva Rella Waller, of Ra leigh, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Williams last week'.' Mr. Williams has been ill for the ' past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Bruton and son are visiting Mrs. Bruton's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Scar borough. Frank, Al, and Earl Hill Gaskins were called home last week due to the illness of their father, Mr. Joe Gaskins. ( Kalph Midgett left Tuesday af-s ter a few days visit with his wife and son. Mrs. Floyd Styron returned home Monday after a few days vi sit at Beaufort. CAMP GLENN The following news could not be included in Friday's paper: Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Clark with their daughter, Judy and Miss Pauline Beacham motored to Cho cowinity to visit relatives of the Clarks. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Powell attend ed the Oyster Roast given at the Morehead Yacht Basin to workers and their wives. Friends are advised that Mr. Clifton Brewer suffered another relapse. Mr. Melvin Dixon, of Washing ton, N. C, spent Monday with the Clarks and Beachams. A little more than two years ago Miss Gloria Lewis, daughter of Mr. Eddie Lewis of Camp Glenn was involved in a minor accident that became a most serious threat to her very life's existence. Thanks be to the good care administered by our surgical and medical staff; the nurses, especially one Mary! the over-all interest of the com munity and many friends; and. with her known plucky spirit she pulled through. One recent Sunday we watched her, crutches discarded, stroll, as young couples do, arm in arm. Yes, all the above hap pening here in Camp Glenn. Sat urday evening this same Gloria Lewis and Mr. J. C. Pake of Beau fort spoke their vows at the Bap tist Missionary .Parsonage. The Rev. Dr. John Bunn officiating Happy voyage Mr. and Mrs. Ji C. Pake from Carteret's people and the News. Mrs. Albin Beacham and Mrs. Jack Powell were the only repre sentatives from Camp Glenn at tending the PTA conference at the Beaufort school Wednesday. And they served dinner, too. Mrs. Willie (Macola) Guthrie of Fernandina, Florida, was here com bining business and a short stay with her parents, Mr. and ; Mrs. John Bell. They spent the days fishing in Mr. Bell's boat at Shackleford banks where thiy had the extreme pleasure "of bringing in four hundred hog fish Monday; the same Tuesday, and six hundred and seventy Wednesday.
