Leary, Jimmie Fodrie and Billie Eudy went to Chapel Hill Saturday to see the Carolina-William and Mary game. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tiltett left yesterday to spend a week at Nags Head. Mr. and Mrs. H. Upon arrival of the-guests the delicious supper with homemade fruit' cake, Ice cream and coffee were served after which progres sions of bridge were played. Mrs. F. E. Hyde received per 'fume for high score. Mrs. W. L. Woodard was given Christmas wraping paper as a bingo prize. Special guests were Miss Gladys Chadwick and Mrs. Paul Jones. Bridal Shower Given For Miss Joyce Johnson Mrs. David Beverirtge honored Miss Joyce Johrson, bride-elect with a miscellaneous shower at the American Leyion Hut on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. Upon her arrival Miss Johnson w?s given a lovely corsage of white chrysanthemums by the hostess. Bridge bingo, bingo, and other games were played with prizes awarded to the winners. Refreshments served were open face sandwiches, with cokes, ritz, and candy. The bride elect received many gifts of silver, china and crystal in her chosen patterns.
